Description:

Thre is nothing especially sensational about this church, but its setting on the E bank of the Thames, in the grounds of the former Carmel College, its small apsidal chancel of Norman origin, the ruined nave walls and a slender W brick tower dating from the Shute Barrington's picturesque Gothic, late 18th-century, restoration, and the two animated early-18th-century monuments in the chancel, give pleasing snapshots of church life in former ages.
